The Hype on Polaroids
If you try to ask all of the human beings on this planet if they ever know what a polaroid is, chances are, majority of them do and most of them would have probably even had one once. Most of the people today believe or think that polaroids are just the same exact things as those instant photographs, but apparently, they are absolutely not and will never be the same, since polaroids are not made to be that instant and they are not as advanced as modern photography. Many of us would agree to the fact that everyone has their own memories with polaroids, and everyone has this common share of bond that polaroids were the reason of, even despite the great innovations made in our world today through the use of smart phones and such that causes everything to be too instant. It is actually very much surprising to see people get so amazed and still give so much appreciation for something as old as a polaroid, even with the vast inventions that have made life easier and more instant nowadays, it is somewhat refreshing to see people appreciate old and antique stuff that do not really cater to the instant needs of modern civilization.
A number of myths and stories have been told to people of different ages and generations about the whole point as to why photography and polaroids have been introduced to the world. The very first story was that when during the year nineteen forty three, there was this father who tried to videograph his three year old daughter while they were having their family vacation, and hse somehow asked a very simple and innocent questions, which was why she cant instantly see the picture right away. The myth or the story would then become later on a huge inspiration that was used by one of the most amazing and popular innovators in the whole history of mankind, and this will be the reason why the technology that we enjoy today is what it is today. This innovator was well known for being very determined and persistent in his quest to find that one technology that will be able to have that little girl be happy back then if ever she lived now, and thus it all obviously did happen as we now enjoy the convenience of instant photography.
Apparently, the polaroid has not been entirely enough to suit the people’s photography needs for they kept on wanting more and more improvements and enhancements for their photography experience. Apparently the creater of this polaroid was made to be seen by his company as an asset as well as their own liability. The company back then struggled in terms of how they dealt with necessary changes because of the perfectionist CEO that they once had, since he was too keen about the polaroid not having any damage or whatnot. Because of the retirement of their original CEO, the company has struggled and has also lost their capacity to envision what the future of photography should be.
